Compliance and accountability
Pan de Vida is a legally established non-profit organization operating in both Ecuador and the United States.
- In Ecuador, we operate as Fundación Pan de Vida (RUC #1792111323001).
- In the United States, we operate as Pan de Vida Inc. (EIN 26-1205863), a registered 501(c)(3) organization authorized to issue tax-deductible receipts for charitable contributions.
Compliance and Financial Oversight
- Pan de Vida fully complies with the tax laws of both Ecuador and the United States.
- In Ecuador, Fundación Pan de Vida undergoes an annual external audit by an independent firm, which is available upon request.
- In the U.S., Pan de Vida Inc. operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Faith and Learning International (FLI, EIN 20-0743864, www.faithandlearning.org). This arrangement allows us to leverage FLI’s administrative, compliance, and reporting support while maintaining full control over our programs and ministry decisions. All donations and expenses in the U.S. are processed through FLI, and we report to them annually, including submitting board minutes and updates twice a year.
Governance and Accountability
- Pan de Vida has governing boards in both Ecuador and the U.S. that oversee all aspects of our operations.
- FLI, our fiscal sponsor, is a full member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), with annual independent audits available upon request.
This structure ensures that all financial contributions are responsibly managed, legally compliant, and used effectively to support our programs. Donors can have confidence in both our financial integrity and the impact of our ministry.
